The Brewster Ladies' Library is a private institution which serves as the free public library for the Town of Brewster. It is managed by a Board of Directors elected by the membership of the Brewster Ladies' Library Assoc. The Library is the source of information, recreation and services for the entire family and encourages active, lively participation in all kinds of programs, projects and exhibits.
Currently, the Town is paying approximately 70% of the total Library budget. The Association pays the remaining 30%, using money from membership fees, gifts and fundraisers. This amount includes capital expenses such as equipment, furniture, and building alterations, and a share of the operating expenses including programs, a portion of book acquisitions and landscaping.
